April 28, 2008
here’s a post that surely won’t wake you up…
Posted by brookem under case of the mondays, contemplation, daily, dating, good heads of hair turn me on, more than you ever wanted to know, weekly HOH alertThis weekend:
- Didn’t end up including those “pomegranate smash“ martinis that I mentioned, but it did include many a brewski. I took that trade off in stride as we already have a few martini bars scoped out in Palm Springs for next weekend.
- My dear friend from college who got engaged over the holidays, asked my roommate, another bestie, and I to be bridesmaids in her wedding next June. On the Cape. On the beach! I couldn’t be more stoked.
- Speaking of weddings, I’m in another one this coming August, for which I might be partaking in a bride/bridesmaid boot camp. Interesting, yes? Two nights a week for a little over a month, four girls, with (hopefully) a cute personal trainer, for an hour session to (hopefully) be followed by cocktails? I’m so there.
- Oh, and ANOTHER dear girlfriend from college was also just proposed to this past weekend!
- I watched Michael Clayton, which took a lot of mental power for a Sunday, but truth be told, most of my focus was placed on swooning over Mr. Clooney.
- I thought a lot about Mr. Match. And missed him, a few times. Realizing more that though the relationship wasn’t meant to be, I’m still pretty bummed that it’s over.
This week:
- I need to make that birthday list I keep thinking about….
- I hope to buy a couple cute new outfits (and shoes) for the weekend.
- Can NOT go by fast enough.
Hmm. Methinks that is all. Also, I do believe this may just go down as one of the most boring entries on this blog.
It’s kind of embarassing, really.
I mean seriously, I’d totally understand if you didn’t even click over here from your reader. And if you did, I apologize!
At least I can FINALLY offer you a new HOH!

Yes, this one definitely makes more sense. I was reading the last one over and over again searching for the MC reference. I’m glad that you felt the same way about it. I felt like I was having to really CONCENTRATE HARD on what was going on in that movie.
Also? I’m so excited that your b-day is coming up. Definitely an excuse to buy new shoes. I can’t wait to hear about the stories about your trip!
And one of my friends just got engaged this weekend too. IT would appear it is that time of the year.
April 28, 2008 at 11:05 am
For sure make the birthday list.
Apparently, it is Get Engaged season, as I’ve heard of three this month!
I’m going to need more caffeine to contribute anything logical to the rest.
April 28, 2008 at 11:19 am
THIS WEEK: HAVE DRINKS WITH DEAR FRIEND BARBIE.
that’s an order, not a request. kthxbai.
April 28, 2008 at 11:19 am
Holy engagements! That’s awesome, I guess it’s that time of the year. And can I just say hooray for birthday lists and new outfits and shoes? I love spring. Happy bday week!!!!
April 28, 2008 at 11:20 am
I need to make a birthday wish list of my own! And ooh bridal bootcamp, sounds intriguing and rewarding!
April 28, 2008 at 11:21 am
Eric Dane. Thank you. Thank you God for all the beauty that is Eric Dane, and thank you brookem for a gorgeous picture of Eric Dane to look at on a Monday morning. And imagine running my fingers through that hair. While he’s in a towel that’s hanging off of one hip. Unf.

I’d totally understand if you didn’t even click over here from your reader
That ending made me click over :)
April 28, 2008 at 11:42 am
Might I add how excited I am that I’ll be “close” to the Cape? I mean, WAY closer than I am now…
GAH! I need to move. Like. Tomorrow.
April 28, 2008 at 11:44 am
Here’s hoping you don’t get a baseball hat with your name on it as a b-day present.
Its still scars me.
April 28, 2008 at 12:25 pm
I came over!
April 28, 2008 at 12:34 pm
I came over too. And, being bummed about boys aside, any weekend with some Clooney isn’t all bad, right??
xo
April 28, 2008 at 12:35 pm
ps, umm, I’m digging that mcsteamy HOH!
April 28, 2008 at 12:39 pm
You need to find yourself a McBeachy next weekend. That will be a fun getaway fo reals and I will be plenty jealous.
I found your new post sans Google Reader. Me so cool.
April 28, 2008 at 12:57 pm
omg Steamy HOH.
Everyone is getting engaged/married. I want a bride bootcamp just for being single!
April 28, 2008 at 1:11 pm
You are so totally a wanted girl - in all these weddings. I guess it is that time in your life! And I love the idea of a bridesmaid bootcamp. Love it.
This list was not boring at all. Though, I’m somewhat surprised you passed up George Clooney for HOH, given how you oogled over him on Sunday. :-)
April 28, 2008 at 1:26 pm
Did egan actually say ‘McBeachy’?
April 28, 2008 at 2:12 pm
yum…. love the HOH!!!
I too need this week to go by uber-fast. I’m supposed to move out of our house by the 30th (Wednesday) and I’ve done NOTHING! seriously zip, zilch, nada re: packing up stuff and/or finding storage space for it. I just really want for the week, and all this stress to be over with already.
April 28, 2008 at 2:29 pm
I love weddings! My brother is getting married in June, and I can’t wait!
April 28, 2008 at 2:45 pm
I don’t think that it was so boring! Weddings are always fun and interesting to read about. Let us know about the “Boot Camp”.
April 28, 2008 at 2:48 pm
McBeachy! I love it!
Birthday lists and new outfits? Sounds fantastic. Boot camp, not so much.
April 28, 2008 at 3:12 pm
Love the new HOH. Buuut, I must say that I was watching the new episode of Grey’s this weekend and one of my predominant thoughts was “What is up with Eric’s hair?
Seriously.
April 28, 2008 at 3:48 pm
Welcome to the world of 27 Dresses. :) That whole bride/bridesmaid bootcamp is just about the most brilliant thing I’ve ever heard of. How fun!
Enjoy your birthday-list writing. Maybe you should put “Eric Dane look-alike” at the top of it…
April 28, 2008 at 4:26 pm
My BF is an Eric Dane look-a-like. K’s eyes are bigger, but his facial hair/structure is the same. :-D Too bad I’m all kinds of pissed at him right now!!
April 28, 2008 at 6:19 pm
Michael Clayton was definitely an intense movie. And George Clooney was definitely intensely attractive in it. But when is he NOT?
Oh, and sometimes I think random posts like this are the most fun to read. More opportunities for commenting, at least, when your post is about everything and anything!

April 28, 2008 at 8:55 pm
Hi Meg,

Pomegranate martinis sound so ridiculously good.
April 29, 2008 at 12:22 pm
Hey baby, what’s your sign? Come here often? What’s your drink of choice? Are you Italian? Would you like some Italian in you? Your eyes, they are like fantastic. Can I buy you a drink? Mind if I rub some lotion on your back? I don’t want to see you all burnt and stuff. Ha, you make me laugh, wanna come to my hotel room for a nightcap?
April 29, 2008 at 12:49 pm

HOH! Super hot! And he’s even hotter than ever on the re-launched GA…I don’t know…McSteamy wasn’t quite my star-crush-type, but now, with the less manicured facial hair and the less…squatty neck…well, he’s doing more for me than Mr. Can’t Make a Decision McDreamy.
